Homegoing services for Irene Delores Green, who passed away March 21, 2025, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Friendly Missionary Baptist Church, 2012 N. Tampania Ave., Tampa, FL 33607. Pastor Johnnie Miller, officiating. Committal will be held at the church.

Irene Deloris Green was born in Tampa, Florida on January 10, 1954, to the late Ira John Thornton and Hazel Anderson Thornton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Green; Brothers: Thomas Thornton, Pastor Ira Thornton Sr., Robert Thornton, Nathaniel Thornton, David Thornton, Cecil Thornton, and Ronnie Thornton Sr; Sisters: Florence Pierce and Ida Mae Thornton.

Irene received her education from the Hillsborough County Public School System. She was involved in her community. Irene was a member of Friendly Missionary Baptist Church for over six years. She served on the Usher Board and Voices of Praise. She was a faithful servant.

Irene leaves to cherish her memories: Son, Cedrick Green, Sr. (Alicia): Daughter, Vania Watson (Corey), Son, Gerard Green; Mother, Hazel Thornton; Grandchildren: Promise Green, Markis R. Watson, Cedrick Green Jr., Isaiah D. Watson, Caleb L. Watson; Sisters: Wylene Green (Ariel) and Consuelo Hernandez Morgan (Doug) and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

The visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Friends are asked to arrive for the home going celebration at 11:45am
