Mrs. Annie Ree Jackson
Annie Ree Jackson was born on August 8, 1941, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to William Harris and Ella May Drain. She peacefully passed away on March 17, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness.
A home going celebration will be held this Thursday March 27, 2025, at 10am, at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 N 40th Street Tampa, FL 33610; Dr. Tony Young of Christ Gospel Church, St. Petersburg, Florida, officiating. An Interment Ceremony will follow at 1pm in Florida National Cemetery Bushnell, Florida.
On January 6, 1960, Annie married the love of her life, Andrew Jackson. Together, they shared 65 years of unwavering devotion, navigating the joys and challenges of military life as they traveled to various Air Force bases. A dedicated nurse’s aide, Annie found her calling in caring for others, embodying compassion in all she did. Faith was the foundation of Annie’s life. She found great solace in worshiping the Lord and often shared words of wisdom: “If you have a problem, take your Bible and go sit by the waters.” Those who knew her will forever cherish her kindness, strength, and gentle guidance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harris and Ella May Drain; her beloved daughter, Adriene Caraballo; brother William Harris, Jr., and sister Virginia Bryant.
Annie is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew Jackson; sons: Andre Jackson, Aron (Valerie) Jackson, and Armon Jackson. She was a cherished grandmother to Kelvin (Katelyn) Belser, Branden (Yarelis) Caraballo, Natalya Caraballo, Chase Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Dominique Jackson, and D’Angelo Jackson. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Kassandra Belser and Kamaal Caraballo. She also leaves behind her dear sisters, Vernestine Dawson of Fort Myers, Florida, and Cynthia Harris of Fort Valley, Georgia, along with many cherished relatives and friends who were blessed by her presence. Annie’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith touched countless lives.
Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
