Home-going services for Mr. Johnnie Lee Morris who passed away on February 4, 2025 will be held Saturday, February 15 at 1 PM at New Victory Baptist Church 8425 N. 40th St., Tampa, FL 33610, Pastor Clarence Nathan is the Pastor. Interment will follow in orange Hill cemetery 4900 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Johnnie Lee Morris was a native of Oakfield Worth County and a resident of Tampa Florida for over 50 years. He was born to Calloway Morris Sr. and Mary Jane Tyson Morris and was educated in the public school of Worth County Georgia. He was a member of Greg’s Temple of Tampa. He was a dedicated employee of Florida Steel for over 35 years after retiring. Then worked at Annette Burial Vault and Monument Inc. for over 30 years.
Johnnie was preceded in his death by his parents Mr. Calloway and Mary Jane Morris. A devoted wife of 56 years Alma Gallon Morris. Son, John Edward Morris, Daughters Devora Solomon, Cherly Stanley of Tampa. These are his sisters of GA. May Lee Morris Susie Mae Curry, Maxie Morris, Loretha Morris, Maxie Bell Thomas, Flossie Morris of Tampa, Fl. Brother of Oakfield GA. Henry Lee Morris, Johnny B. Morris, Calloway Morris Jr. of Ashburn GA. and Homer Lee Morris of Tampa Fl. He leaves to cherish his memories daughter, Afreda Morris Boman. Granddaughters Jomesha Boman Iles, Deidre Boman, Nancy Douglas, Yolanda Douse, Shamyka Solomon, Veroniya Winkfield, Lillian Stanley, Quanda Stanley, and Voncil Johnson. A host of Great grand (32) and Great Great Grand children’s and a devoted friend Doyle Austine of Tampa.

I'm so sorry to hear of my great uncle's passing. I'm the granddaughter of Calloway Morris, Jr. of Ashburn, GA. We all grieve his passing.
