Homegoing Services for Pastor Donald White who was a Pastor, Retired Air Force Sargent, Husband, Teacher, Father, Grandfather and Servant of God who peacefully passed away April 15, 2025, will be held, Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 4025 W. Palmetto Street, Tampa, Florida 33604, Reverend Anthony Greene, officiating.
Pastor Donald White was born on March 2, 1953, in Vienna, Georgia to the late Deacon Arthur Lee White, Sr., and Deaconess Mary E. White. He was baptized at an early age and joined First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens under the leadership of the late John Stephens. Pastor White attended Middleton High School and immediately after graduation enlisted in the United States Air Force.
Pastor Donald White was united in holy matrimony to Emma Marie Tarver in 1985. He retired from the United States Air Force in 1992. After returning home, he trained young men in the business of tinting, a job so many do now. Pastor Donald White was ordained a Deacon and shortly afterwards, he was ordained a Pastor in 1994 and pastored one Church in two locations; Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Plant City and Tampa, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Jimmy White, James White, Bobby White, Larry White and one sister, Linda White.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and caring wife of 40 years, Evangelist Emma Marie Tarver White; one son, Donta White; five daughters; Donna Latrice White, Bridget Tarver (Nikki), Albertina Patricia Newsome, Samantha Donna Bolton, and Teri Gay; eighteen grandchildren; Destnee Marie Mills, Isaac Williams Harris, IV, Brishawn Young, Diamond Hector, Ja’Varie Bolton, Roxanne Iscar, Lela Marie Bolton, Pernell Robinson, Jr., Pricilla Sam-Marie Gay, Poetyc Ann Marie Gay, Royalty Marie Gay, Barack Bolton, Prince Speights, Heaven White, Adonis White; two great grands; one brother, Lawrence White (Vivian); three sister-in-laws, Annie White, Vivian White, Linda White; one brother-in-law, Andrew Tarver (Pam); Aunts, Lois Brown, Callie Crawford; god-children, Prince Russell, Michelle Stone, Stephanie Williams, Natalie Johnson and Rhonda Pettis; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, including Michael White, Ruth Jones, Zewanda White.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2025 at 5:00 p.m-8:00 p.m. at New Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1506 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd., Tampa, FL 33610.
