OBITUARY

Homegoing Celebration for Mother Callie “MaDear” Crawford. Mother Crawford passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 under the care of Life Path Hospice. Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. Rev. A.W. Greene, Pastor, Bishop Dominic Watkins, Presiding. Eulogy by Pastor Rev. A.W. Greene.


Mother Crawford was born in Eufaula, Alabama to the parents of Ebb and Arie Stephens. She was 96 years young. Mother Crawford was one of the founding members of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, where her brother, Rev. J.A. “Big John” Stephens, was Pastor and Founder. Mother Crawford served on the Mother Board, Deaconess Board, the #1 Choir with her beautiful soprano voice. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially her “Lemon Cakes.” Mother Crawford enjoyed feeding the multitudes. Mother Crawford was always willing to lend a helping hand. You needed a ride, she was there; a babysitter, she helped raise grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighbors and employers’ kids.


Mother Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Dec. Noble Crawford Sr.; her parents, Ebb and Arie Stephens; 5 of her 9 children, Larry Crawford, Paul Crawford, Clauzella Crawford, Fletcher Crawford and Noble Crawford Jr.; one great-great-granddaughter, Amya Pitts; all of her siblings, Rev. John A. Stephens (Sallie), Ebb Stephens Jr. (Timothy), Eunice Robertson (Wilson), Rosie Williams, and Lela Ivey. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Martha Stevens (James), Arie Davis, Robert Crawford Sr. (Mary), Cassius Crawford (April). 13 grandchildren, Anthony Crawford, Carol Myers, Noble Crawford III (Elkie), Sylvia Crawley, Robert Muhammad (Kim), -Ft, Worth & Dallas, Texas, Crystal Green (Roger)-California, Paula Watkins (Bishop Dominic), Andre Crawley, Robert Crawford Jr., Michael Crawford, Niya Crawford, Rasheeda Smith (Eric), and Winston Davis, Jr-all of Tampa, Reginald Stevens-Orlando; sister-in-law Timothy Stephens (Ebb); 26 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; Godchildren, Regina Parsley, Gladys Williams, Sabrina Muldrow, Vecelia Johnson, Veronica Bryant, Jean Massey and Reginald Jamison; sorrowing cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.


Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for service Saturday at 10am.

OBITUARY

 With profound sadness and hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life and enduring legacy of Irma C. Battle, who entered eternal rest on June 29, 2026.


Home going services will be held Saturday June 18, 2026, at 2pm at North M. B. Church 5706 North 40th Street Tampa, FL 33610; Pastor Leonard Herrington, Pastor; Evangelist Cynthia Johnson, officiating . A committal will follow.


Born in Tampa, Florida, Irma was educated at Middleton High School and was a faithful member of New Life Tabernacle. She loved swimming, sports, long walks, sunshine, and above all being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her smile, strength, wisdom, and unconditional love left a lasting mark on everyone blessed to know her.


She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara Ann Bell and Melvin Fredrick; her husband Stanley Solomon; her son Ronelle Bagley; and her brother John C. Bell; Suni M. Bell. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter Drial Bell (Steven Johnson); son Tony Battle (Jordana Battle); grandchildren Steven Bell (Mary Harrison), Shaniqua Bell (Jazmine Joseph), Stiquisha Johnson (Luther Burgess), Shandria Bell (Tiana Spaulding), Dennis Harris, Tony Battle Jr., Tory Battle, Legacy Battle, and Tariq Battle and Stefon Johnson; a host of great-grandchildren; siblings Chestine Bell, Carrie E. Bell, Dennis Battle, Denise Salter, Carlton Battle, and Donna Battle; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. OBITUARY

 A celebration of the life of Mr. Lawrence E. Davis, who passed away on June 28, 2026, will be held on Thursday July 23, 2026, at 11am at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 North 40th Street Tampa, Florida 33610 with Apostle Andrew Holder, officiating. A committal will follow in the Chapel.


Mr. Lawrence E. Davis was a native of Caryville, Florida. Early Sunday, June 28th,2026, at the lovely age 77 years old Lawrence silently took his last breath.


Tanya and Tiffany I know you were waiting for me to call you like I did every Sunday, but I had to answer this other call.


I attended Caryville, Florida elementary and middle schools, I graduated from Rolight High School in 1969. After graduation I enrolled in the US Army where I served for 2 years and was honorably discharged in 1971 due to being wound while serving, I was awarded with several medals like the National Defense Service, Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal Marksman (M-14), Vietnam Campaign Medal , W/60 DVC expert (Grenade) Marksman (M-16), 1st Class(60), Not too brag, anyway.  After leaving the Army I moved to Pleasantville, NJ where I met and later married my one and only ”Wifey” Emma Nixon in 1976. I was blessed to help raise her 3 children Le’Andre, Rachael and Arlene,then blessed to have 2 baby girls Tanya & Tiffany.


I worked as a Construction worker and was a member of Local 415 until I retired. After retirement In 2000 I moved back to Florida to be closer to my mothers, brother,sisters and family.. So family please don’t cry too long. I am in no more pain.


I leave to cherish in my memories: my Children Tanya (Noel) Bradshaw of Vineland, NJ, Tiffany Summers of Bridgeton, NJ Rachael (James) Jones of Atlantic City, NJ, Arlene Gordon, of Chesapeake VA Le’Andre Nixon Sr. of Vineland, NJ My Grandchildren: Oshayia Langston, Shainn Murphy, Tayshee Bradshaw, Venus Summers, Noel Bradshaw a.k.a Bubba, Lawrence Bradshaw a.k.a LJ, Brion Summers Jr a.k.a BJ,, RubyDee Bradshaw, Jullain Bradshaw, Ammilya Bradshaw, Jackson Bradshaw, Francis Bradshaw, Ivory (Ricky) Howard, Kalima Nixon, Ebony Reaves, Emily Samuels, LeAndre Nixon Jr, a.k.a Dewey, Elijah Gordon, Alisha Gordon.

 A Homegoing service for Marquees D. Dell, who departed this life June 4, 2026 will be held Saturday June 20, 2026, at 11am at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 North 40th Street Tampa, Florida with A local Minister officiating. A committal will be made in the Chapel. Marquees was born on October 25, 1989. He was a vibrant soul who truly loved life.

He enjoyed playing video games, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. He was also a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and proudly supported his team every season. His fun-loving spirit, warm personality, and easy laughter made him someone everyone enjoyed being around. He had a way of bringing light into a room and making others feel welcomed and valued. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence, his humor, and his kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Friends are asked to arrive at 1:45pm for the Celebration. Brenda Joyce Luster, born on December 24, 1945, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, lovingly known as “Mema” and “Big Baby,” passed away on June 9, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her longtime life partner, Melvin Stenson Jr.; her parents, Alice and Leon Coleman, and Billy Luster; her brother, Roderic Sr.; her nephew, Roderic Jr.; and her dear friends Willie Myrl, Clementine, and Bennie Mae.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Erick; daughter, Dominic “Nickie”; grandchildren Najeyah, Tahriima, Kalia, Erianna, and Alexis; great-grandchildren Torrence, Amaria, Mecca, Alanah, Bleuu, Melani, My’Yel, and Nikoa; sister Denise; nieces Michelle and Emeka; goddaughters Sabelitha and Karen; special friends Dorothy, Felicia, Pebbles, and Desiree; and a host of family and friends.
