Ms. Fannie Mae Hightower
Ms. Fannie Mae Hightower was born on December 8, 1947, to Dora Bell and Frank Hightower in Dalton, Georgia. Sadly, on January 21, 2025, she gained her earthly wings. Home going services will be held Saturday February 8, 2025, at 11am, at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 North 40th Street Tampa, Florida 33610, with Apostle Andrew Holder, pastor of Zion Temple Holiness church officiating. A committal service will follow.
Fannie was the third of four children. She was eight years-old when her mother and other siblings moved to Florida. She lived in Seffner and Wimauma before moving to Tampa. In her youth, she attended Middleton High School.
Fannie was employed for over 30 years in the Tampa Bay hospitality industry. She was a sports fanatic for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She enjoyed watching game shows, early morning soap operas, horse racing, playing bingo, scratch-offs, and spending quality time with her grand-kids, great-grand-kids, and great-great grand-kids. She also loved to talk trash! Especially, if you did something to irritate her. At the end of it all, she was a loving great-grandmother. She had a heart of gold. She extended her hand to anyone that crossed her path; to know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed, especially by the watermelon man who always came to the house to make sure she got some.
Ms. Fannie Mae Hightower was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dora Bell and Frank Hightower; great-grandson, Andre Moore Jr.; sisters, Martha Phillips, and Barbara Leonard; brother, Walter Hightower (Tunk); aunt: Mattie McClendon; uncle: Alfred Walton
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: Her loving daughter: Joyce Williams (Gregory Gunthrop), Her granddaughters: Nakisha White (Christopher White), Lisa Paris, and Joyce Paris, Great-grandchildren: Dominique Burbick (Angad Bipat), Jayla Lewis, Ai'jah Moore, and Roy'Niyah Nathan, Great-great grandchildren: Nakia Bipat and Uldren Bipat; a host of friends and family members to cherish her precious memories.
